About me

   Born in Écija (Seville), he begins his musical studies at the age of seven at the «Fray Juan Bermudo» Elementary Conservatory of his hometown, specializing in clarinet under the guidance of José Antonio Linero and Miguel Ojeda. Later, he continues at the «Músico Ziryab» Professional Conservatory in Córdoba with teachers such as Manuel Jódar, Cristina Strike or Juan Carlos Carillo. In 2015, he pursues higher studies at the «Rafael Orozco» Superior Conservatory in Córdoba with the clarinetist David Calvo, finishing them in 2019 in the «Superior Conservatory «Manuel Castillo» Superior Conservatory in Seville with Francisco José Cantó. Driven by a growing interest in music creation, he enrolls in the Master in Composition for Audiovisual Media at the Centro Superior ”Katarina Gurska” in Madrid, studying with composers such as Eva Gancedo (Goya Award winner for Best Original Score) or Jaime Gutiérrez (orchestrator for renowed composer Fernando Velázquez), amongst others, and graduates in 2020. He further enhances his audiovisual skills at the prestigious studies ”Berklee Online” from US, completing studies in Game Audio Production. Additionally, he takes lessons from Sevillian composer Alberto Carretero and participates in masterclasses with leading figures such as composer and orchestrator Conrad Pope (John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore…), Óscar Senén (usual orchestrator for Hans Zimmer) or arranger Nan Schwartz (Grammy Award Winner). He also attends advanced clarinet courses with professors Antonio Salguero, José Luis Estellés and Luís Gomes, amongst others. In the field of conducting, he receives training from distinguished professionals such as Borja Quintas, Jorge Nicolás Manrique, Juan Carlos Sempere Bomboí and Ferrer Ferran. He also studies piano at the «Cristóbal de Morales» Professional Conservatory in Seville.

          Since 2017, he is member of the clarinet quartet ”Qasab Basit”, which become finalist in the IV Chamber Music Competition José Gámez”. Moreover, they make the first recording of Lûdus ad Quattuor (Martínez Gallego). Notable performances include concerts during the XII Cultural Week of the ”Fray Juan Bermudo” Elementary Conservatory of Écija and in «Yacimiento de Ocuri» (Ubrique). From 2017 to 2019, he also is a member of the Orquesta Sinfónica Contuja (OSC), participating in projects such as ”The Bernstein Beat” performed in the Teatro de la Maestranza of Seville, conducted by John Axelrod (former conductor of ROSS), with the participation of Jamie Bernstein, daughter of the renowed composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein.

          As a composer specializing in audiovisual media, he has written music for several short films, from ”Éxtasis” (2020, Bianca Bombín), whose score was recorded and mixed at IRTVE (Madrid), ”The Adventures of Alexandra and Lucas” (2021), to ”Calcetines” (2025, Miguel Ángel Olivares & Hermanas Beyron), scripted by Sergio Checa and with several nominations and awards. In 2024 he composes the soundtrack for the documentary film ”Los chavales de Morelia” (2024, Miguel Ángel Olivares), shot in Mexico and premiered at Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). Furthermore, he also writes music for video games, including tles such as ”Stones of Chaos” (2022) and ”Super Hiper Luminum Gun”, both developed by Violent Hamster Team.

          In the field of concert music, he composes for various ensembles. His chamber repertoire includes works such as ”Nature” (2020, for string quartet, flute, piano and harp), recorded and mixed at PKO Studios. For solo instruments, notable works include ”Misty Dyes” (2022, for prepared piano), premiered in Livorno (Italy). Besides, he has also written for wide ensembles. His orchestral composiitons include Sandstorms (2020, for orchestra, choir and ethnic instruments) and wind band works such as ”Echoes of Liberation” (2022, premiered by Banda de Música AMUECI) and Evocation (2024, premiered by the Banda Municipal de Música de Sevilla).

          In modern music, he gains experience in genres such as pop, rock or heavy metal. He is a founding member of the symphonic metal band Rivermoon, active until 2017, where he plays the roles of composer, lyricist and keyboardist. Moreover, he also works as an arranger for renowed pop artists such as Rocío Ojuelos, María Villalón or Pilar Bogado, in productions led by Rodrigo Carmona

In the field of conducting, he serves as Assistant Conductor of the Wind Band AMUECI from August 2022 to April 2025.
